- Check whether the customer has experienced any problems with the system
- Visual inspection of all major alarm components including cabling & connections where accessible for signs of deterioration or damage.
- Check and Walk Test all detectors.
- Check battery power supply including charging rates.
- Check mains power supply including charging rates.
- Check satisfactory operation of manually operated devices eg. panic buttons.
- Check and test all audible warning devices – sirens, speakers.
- Check and test remote signalling equipment (where appropriate).
- Check the alarm system is fully operational
- Check operation of keypads and LEDs
- Make adjustments as necessary.
- Repair any minor faults.
- Verify keyholders operation of alarm system.
- Record all test results.
- Return the alarm system to operational status.
All of the work carried out on site, together with the arrival and departure time are recorded on a record sheet.
The engineer will note any deficiencies in the system and also any recommended work that might be required to maintain a full, trouble free alarm system.
We will go through our findings with you explaining the results we have obtained and provide you with a written copy so you can keep on file.

With our Silver and Gold plans, engineer call-out charges are included except when the:-
- Components have been damaged by users or third parties
- Components have been damaged by misuse
- Components damaged due to Fire, Storm, Flood or an Act of Nature
